Pet Therapy
MEET OUR RELAXATION EXPERT
WHY DOG THERAPY?
Dogs in the dentist office? Yes we did. Scientists have long known that pets can reduce stress, and that's our aim at Progressive Dental. Pet therapy has been found to reduce blood pressure and improve depression. Dogs, in particular, are very attuned to humans after thousands of years of living and working with people.
Service dogs can help blind people lead an independent life, while more specialized dogs can detect the early signs of a seizure. Now dogs are moving into the dental office to help calm people’s anxieties and reduce dental phobias. If you would like to have one of our hypoallergenic therapy dogs at your visit, just let us know when you schedule your appointment!
MEET HUDSON
Dental Therapy Pup
Hello - I'm Hudson. I’m an F1 Goldendoodle born in College Station in March of 2012. I love humans, playing fetch and more fetch.
I enjoy long walks on the beach and titillating conversation. But my biggest passion is helping patients overcome their fear of the dentist and watching them transform from feeling nervous to genuinely loving to come to see us. It's awesome.
Did I mention I love fetch?
